1. Congratulations to AISH and George Institute for Global Health and SAVE trial Statistics Team on winning the Australian Clinical Trials Alliance (ACTA) Excellence in Trial Statistics Award for the SAVE trial as well as becoming the finalists in the ACTA Trial of the Year Award. 2. AISH - Winner of the Research Excellence category, SALHN Awards Program for two running in 2015 and 2016. 2015 award was for overall excellence in research awarded to the AISH research group and the 2016 award was for the SAVE study.
3. Our very own Dr Nicole Lovato, a Post-Doctoral Research Associate at the Adelaide Institute of Sleep Health was the recipient of the South Australian Young Tall Poppy Science Award for 2016 as well as A.P.S. Early Career Research Award for 2016.
Dr Nicole Lovato received the prestigious Young Tall Poppy Science Award, presented by the Australian Institute of Policy and Science recognises Dr Lovato’s outstanding research achievements and her excellence in communication and community engagement to promote an understanding of science.
The 2016 Young Tall Poppy Science Awards was be presented during a ceremony at Government House on 1st August 2016.
Nicole Lovato has also been awarded the A.P.S. Early Career Research Award for 2016. The Early Career Research Award recognises excellence in scientific achievement in psychology at an early career stage, and Nicole’s achievements have been recognised by the Division of Psychological Research, Education and Training (DPRET) of the Australian Psychological Society (APS).
4. Congratulations to Dr Gorica Micic who has been awarded the 2016 Vice Chancellor’s Prize for Doctoral Thesis Excellence
