Darwin Sleep Service
The Adelaide Institute for Sleep Health also provides a sleep service in Darwin. This is a home based service in which patients wear a portable sleep diagnostic device in the comfort of their own home. This type of sleep study records the same neurophysiological parameters measured in a typical Diagnostic Sleep Study. Following the sleep study, the information is sent to AISH in Adelaide for analysis by qualified technicians and reporting by a Sleep Medicine Physician.Home sleep studies are performed 3-4 times a week. AISH specialists travel from Adelaide to conduct monthly outpatients clinics in Darwin.
How to refer a patient
All patients must be referred by a medical practitioner. General Practitioners please use the downloadable GP Referral Form. Medical specialists can use the Sleep Study Request Form.Referrals may be made by mail, fax or phone. Referrals can also be completed online.
