Associate Professor Peter Catcheside heads physiology research at the Adelaide Institute for Sleep as an ARC Future Fellow in the Department of Medicine at Flinders University. His main research interests are in respiratory / sleep physiology with a particular focus on investigating mechanisms and consequences of sleep apnoea, and in evaluating new treatments. His current ARC and NHMRC funded main projects are examining mechanisms and consequences of unstable breathing and disturbed sleep, and the effectiveness of avoiding supine sleep for treating positional OSA and snoring. A/Prof Catcheside is a member of the Southern Adelaide Clinical Human Research Ethics Committee and a Visiting Research Fellow in the Discipline of Physiology, School of Medical Sciences, University of Adelaide.
